Advanced Actions - Conditional Replies

There are 3 specific conditions where you can restrict an email from being sent within a Sequential Campaign - Unless A Reply is Received;  Unless an Email is Opened;  Unless a Link is Clicked.

The most common event to be found in our templated campaigns is when someone replies to an email.

You can set up a sequence within your campaign where an email is set up to only be sent if someone does not reply to the previous email within the sequence.

In this example from our Social Media Boomerang campaign, the first email in the campaign had the subject title - "Reaching Out".  The second email in the sequence is set to go out UNLESS someone replies to that previous email.

If the prospect does not reply, the email is sent out.

Here the email subject line is set to "RE: {previous email subject}  - you cannot edit this subject line if you want the message to be sent as a reply to the previous thread.

The Delay is set for the length of time you want the second email to wait to be sent after the previous message has been sent. In this example, the second email will go out 7 days, 1 hour and 15 mins after the previous message was sent.

Then we select the condition, under which this email will be sent - click the dropdown arrow to show a list of the conditions you can choose from - in this circumstance it will be "A reply is received".

The other conditions you can set for sending emails out is -

Unless a previous message is opened - ie. as a reminder if they didn't open the previous email.

Unless a link is clicked  (see How To Track Links) - ie. as a reminder if they didn't click on the link in the previous email.

If you want to trigger an email if they DO open or click a link in the previous email, then use the 'Advanced Actions' menu option to apply a Tag based on their trigger.
