What is an Email 'Alias' Address

Connect 365 has direct integrations to send email from Gmail, Google Workspace or Outlook.com email accounts.

If you use an email provider other than those three (ie Yahoo!, Outlook Exchange, etc.) you can still utilize Connect 365 by creating a Gmail account set to deliver email as an Alias.

To do so you'd first need to create a Gmail account.

Within that Gmail account, you can then add the other email account that you want to display to your recipients as an Alias sender.

Gmail actually delivers your email, but to your recipients, they would only see the primary email address you want them to reply to. And all incoming replies to your campaigns would be delivered to your primary email account.

For a complete breakdown on how to set-up an Alias account, please review the Google documentation here.

Once you have configured the Alias within your Gmail account, integrate the Gmail account with Connect 365 from your Mail Accounts page.

Editor's Note:

1. We recommend starting slowly with Alias account campaigns. Depending on your email provider they may have limits to the total email sends you can make with an Alias Account. We recommend adding contacts to campaigns with no more than 25-50 contacts per day as a starting point.

2. Alias accounts can result in 'Reply Tracking' issues. If replies to your email are being forwarded to a separate email address, this can break the reply chain.

If you are an Alias account user, be sure to manually confirm the removal of campaign tags for any contacts you want to remove from your scheduled messaging.
