SETTING UP YOUR POSTING SCHEDULE

The best and easiest way to ensure that your posts will be AUTOMATICALLY posted from Emphatic is to set up a consistent posting schedule. You can do this by going to 'Settings' and then 'Post Schedule' in your account


From there you can choose which timezone you want to post in, as well as the days of the week you want to be posting on. When a day is highlighted green, that means it is selected. If you want to remove a specific day from your schedule, all you have to do is click on it!

Then you can set up different posting rules for each platform by clicking on the individual Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter boxes. You can post whenever you want, but just be sure that you aren't posting too much. For example, if you allocated 15 credits per month to LinkedIn, but are posting 5 times per week, you'll likely run out of posts before the end of the month.

Facebook

Best times to post on Facebook:

  • Mondays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Thursdays from 8 a.m. to noon

Best days to post on Facebook: Mondays through Thursdays

LinkedIn

Best times to post on LinkedIn:

  • Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon

Best days to post on LinkedIn: Tuesdays through Thursdays

Twitter

Best times to post on Twitter:

  • Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Fridays 9 a.m. to noon

Saving Your Posting Schedule

Once you have the schedule you want you can hit 'Apply' in the upper right corner and you're all set! Just like your content strategy, your posting schedule can be updated at any given time and is not something that you can set in stone once and never tweak again.
