How can I add custom merge fields that I'd like to use in my messaging?
If there are custom fields of information that you'd like to use in your messaging, you can add custom fields.
First - you'll want to make sure you have the information for all contacts. For instance, if you plan on referencing the town your prospects live in within your message, make sure that all the contacts you'll be messaging you know the town for them.
Second - If you have verified the data that you'd like to use in your message, follow the instructions in this video to add custom merge fields in your account.
Note: Refrain from using special characters other than text within the name of your Custom Replacement Text Fields.
For example, let's say you had information from your contacts regarding the revenue goal they'd like to achieve in their business. And you wanted to include that unique information in your messaging. When you create the Custom Replacement Field title the field 'Revenue Goal' rather than '$ Goal'
This applies not just for icons, but can include punctuation (avoid commas, parenthesis, apostrophes, etc.) with the Field Label for your custom fields.
